I’ll
make this short because I know that at the end of the year, we are often
bombarded with last minute “make it count” ideas…but I will not fake the funk
and act like I am not a BIG encourager of placing some GREAT things in your
future…RIGHT NOW, NOT LATER!!...because I am!!
This world needs everyone to
live out his/her AMAZING Purpose!!Okay, let me focus on this post before I rant (or
get loud) and haven’t even built up to it…

So
here’s to this post being just that!!
Like
I said in the previous post, I think (I hope)…
The thing about open doors
is that the more you walk through them, the more you get to know the person you
are and have yet to become! And the other side of that, which makes this post so important is that the more you open
yourself up to the desires of your heart, more and more ideas will grow and become from simply saying YES to the
first one.
Let
me take you on a quick but worth it mental road trip (you don’t need snacks…but
I won’t judge if you grab some)!!
Think about a tree, once a
seed, planted, watered, nurtured, loved throughout every season…and even when
it wasn’t personally watered…it was personally watered with rain.
…That’s deep!
A tree serves many purposes:
+ Shade
+ Food
+ Beauty
+ Lumber
++ Circulating Oxygen++
---The List goes on and on!!!
+++ Overall… it is a pretty
HUGE resource to everyday life…that’s my point, if I missed something about it,
please don’t be offended!!

But
a tree started as a seed, sprouted roots and became many (MANY) different
things that are not all necessarily related to each other but under the same
source, became a resource…
Think
about that.
The
more people needed things, the more it became and/or was realized!
Big
Picture Vision.

tree is a big picture vision.”
Big picture
vision is “open doors, open doors” because one door will lead to more (good or
bad…purpose-filled or distractions). Even if the door you entered was
small/entry-level/may even seem currently irrelevant…going through it with an
open-mind that’s focused on your purpose…you’ll realize that each experience is
bringing you closer and closer to the person you are becoming.
Now…let’s
travel back to YOU/ME/WE and our one seed growing/leading/prospering/becoming
everything that WE desire to be!!
I
said I would be brief…I think we all know by now that my brief and your brief
are 2 completely different things...buy hey, I sincerely appreciate YOU for
being here!! But in being brief, below is how I want to end this post and rock
out the New Year with some fresh thoughts and perspective that’s ready to go
through these open doors (YES, PLURAL) confidently!
I am declaring a domino
effect of open doors in YOUR 2015 and mine too!!! HELLO!!!!!!
So…
Here are 10 questions (with
a few statements) to help YOU/ME/WE (continuously) realize our open door and
big picture vision for 2015 and beyond!!
Remember… Small can always land on greater.
1. How will your dreams impact the world?
What industries will be influenced? Are you currently working in, researching
or following the industry leaders on Social Media?
2.
Who will be inspirationally provoked by the reality of your dreams? Have you
met them yet?
3.
The things that make you mad/happy/sad, does it provoke your passion?
It's not about the size of the step(s) that make the
difference...but the direction and intentions behind them.
4.
List the reasons YOU use to think that you’re not qualified.
5.
Now, list the reasons YOU want to create change and look at your not qualified
list… and laugh!
6. What
was the first step you took to realize/recognize/acknowledge/accept/understand YOUR Purpose? Do you believe that YOU honored Your Worth with that step?
Proceed with Purpose.
7. If
you could imagine the next step in fulfilling YOUR Purpose…
Take
a moment.
What
does your vision look like? Who’s there? And what are you doing?
8. What
do you want to be said about the life you live and the legacy you leave?
And will there be a torch to pass?
9. About
how many dreams do you have? Can you put them in order from wildest dream to
everything in between? Have you considered the smaller dreams as stepping-stones
to the big dreams like a puzzle with many pieces? Maybe the smaller dreams that we thought would happen after
we achieved the big dreams are instead preparation for the big dreams?
Courage gets bolder, stronger and louder with use.

moment when you said no (mentally and verbally) to ALL things against your

going in the right direction, aiming for a target with an exciting end goal,
and creating something that pleased your soul…
…That moment
when peace became more than just a word but a realization that this
purpose/desire/dream is happening, revealing itself right before OUR EYES!!
Ahhhhh…this is the life!!
And
on the other side…finally understanding why people say,
“Never forget YOUR WHY.”

like going the right speed, at the right time and getting all (well, mostly)
green lights because your foot does need a break…arriving on time to the place
that you may not have been all that sure you were going to be …"on time"…maybe even
started thinking of a “I’m not late” face or story (hey…I’ve done both…) BUT
everything just began to fall into place.
And
the more you said yes to the reason you were designed…the more opportunities
presented themselves for YOU/ME/WE to say YES to.
Open
doors, open doors.
I
want to talk about allowing yourself to have no limits to living out your
purpose even if RIGHT NOW seems amazing…and it took so much to arrive at this
place you’re in/at right now…
The more
YOU/Me/We keep saying Yes to purpose the more YOU/Me/We have to say Yes to.
I think I just said that…
but I’ll leave it because … I want to.
It’s
having that aha moment and everything just clicks! And you truly understand…
I was built
for this.
Then
that next step…I was built for
everything connected to this, my purpose!!

There is nothing like being at the right place, at
the right time, saying the right thing(s) to the right people.
Personal GYC Commentary on My
Life:
When you process the past
you just might find a bigger dream with deeper impact and greater influence.
I once
believed that I can’t___________.
+I
can’t write stories because my 7th/8th grade English teacher gave me C’s on all
my stories’ rough drafts, and did not seem interested in me making progress to
a better grade… which is how I grew to love poetry…I always earned A’s.
+I
can’t seriously be transparent with everyone because what’s the point?
+I
can’t give advice on my experiences because they need to be validated with an
expert educated specifically in the subject, and I also need to need the advice
that I’m giving in my own life.
+I
can’t design because apparently my designs have been done before...
+I
can’t genuinely give because when I do I have this remorse/regret/fear that I
just took something from myself that I can’t get back, and I’ll have less.
The list
probably goes on but these were my big points!
See the thing is…
I realized my open doors by
saying yes/I CAN to Purpose/Dreams that honored my worth and design, despite
ANY naysayers, discouragement, negative feelings/thoughts, or lack of
confidence/trust in certain abilities.
As much as the “can’t” might
have initially been true, honest feelings and/or intentionally meant to stop me…I persevered/pushed/fought
to decide not to remain where I was so that I would have room to grow further.
I NOW
believe and know that I can______________.
+I
can write.
+I
can blog.
+I
can write books. I am an author. This year…I have 2 author credits!! Dear
Divorce, Thank You being the first! And the second book is a women’s
compilation that will officially launch this coming March in Canada!!!
+I
can design. I am a graphic designer. I can design books. This year…I have 4
book design credits (for sure…this year isn’t over) including the 2 books
mentioned above!!! And the other 2 for 2 first time authors as well!!
+I can share my life, my
experiences. I can speak. I have a new level of transparency…it’s called you
are not alone with your fears or triumphs, and in some way shape or form we are
connected. So I will stand with you by relating to you... instead of pretending
like I don’t know a level of what it is like to be you, or can’t have
compassion for what you’ve been through.
+I can give.
I can give and not feel like I am at a lost but realize the priceless gain.
Every area that began to
unveil itself as “I can” connected and continues to connect me deeper to my
purpose, opening door after door because of one open door that I said yes to.
Seeing
one open door lead to many other open doors, which helped me grow my weaknesses
and inabilities, turning my fear into courage. If there is one thing that I
learned about “I can’t” is that there are many things we all “can’t” do or are
not built/designed to do…but there is a difference in being able to
pinpoint/verbalize your “can’t”…It is the beginning to your lesson and/or
understanding.
+The Lesson: Your weaknesses are a perfect place to grow
strength. Have you ever heard the phrase, “Where you are weak, is where you are
being made strong”?
All of my “I can’t” listed
above became my fighting moments for “Oh Yes, I Can.” And how I stand and progress
today.
+The Understanding: Everyone is not designed to
do everything but if you love it, find your voice within it and use it that
way…Remember “I got
a voice & I use it”? Go beyond the surface to get to the
substance. Keeping a perspective that allows you to embrace and honor ALL of
who YOU ARE!!
When WE turn ‘I can’t’ into
‘I can’…we will begin to see the truth of ‘open doors, open doors.’ Then, take
off all limits to the possibilities of who YOU/Me/We were designed to be,
living freely in our Purpose.
Let me say this
A
dream is vision, a surface, an image like the picture on the box of a puzzle. We
won’t understand it until we’ve connected all the pieces together…even those that
don’t look like they fit. If you want an open door that leads to other open
doors, commit to your Purpose including all things attached to the journey of
getting there.

thoughts with action
+ Taking the next step and going to the next level

THIS is the type of crossing
the line I want to talk about…if there is drama to be had…let your PURPOSE
be attached!! You know so if anything
legal wise comes up…it makes sense to you as to why you feel and/or act(ed) the
way you did/do…

August’s (and September) Question for Thought:
SideNote: When I wrote that quote at the bottom, it was after I
realized some of the times and even recently that I “crossed the line,” and I
thought about if I hadn’t …where would I be today?
Not to mention…it made me think about the times that I didn’t cross the
line or waited…
…
But let’s get back to
crossing the line (yes…I will be saying cross the line and purpose 50 times)…
The
thing with this Question for Thought and
why I wanted to write a related post… is that it makes me think about what
YOU/ME/We use to replace courage when it
comes to pursuing our purpose…you know, old Slewfoot…and
all his relatives… those dag gone naysayers…
And
on the other side, the importance of
why we need to cross the line
for our purpose, and the other related reasons I mentioned above.
Let me outline
2 of the most important moments to recognize when we replace courage:
1.When we replace courage as in let doubt start talking and deciding, it
becomes easy for us to deny/reject/never follow-through on the ideas that push
us beyond limits; I’m talking about those “crazy”
aka courageous ideas that pop in our mind…
Think about it,
the more we invite doubt and worry in, the harder it becomes to actually want
to do it or believe that we can do it!
2.The moment when the “crazy” ideas don’t appear to have any
provision/resources/support/money/all of the above…and it makes us worry and/or
wait, which doesn’t help us get anywhere!
*This is
basically how worrying makes me feel… so…
Sometimes we think too small
and our design is created to think big so we think that what’s “crazy” isn’t
the norm, when IN OUR reality… what’s “crazy” aka courageous is actually OUR
norm asking us will YOU be B-O-L-D? ---I may have to back to this in another
post…
And THAT is the reason I want us to cross the line…
The next
step in your purpose is on the other side of “that line”…will you cross it?
Think
about this, when/what was the first time you can remember that you took a
risk…then after you did it…you realized it was no big deal?
One
of the things I had to realize and keep in my remembrance was that there are no risks in pursuing your
purpose…the risk is in not
pursuing YOURPurpose…and knowing the makes
of you…then wondering why there is no satisfaction or whatever your desired
emotion or feeling maybe…

+ I am one of
my greatest resources. My design was built to fulfill my purpose, pushing its
features beyond the limits.

just may be on the other side of a question but you’ll never know if you don’t

+ Who cares if
everyone cares?! If you weren’t doing something worth talking about… they would
not talk about you. Yeah…purpose’s ideas may seem crazy but if you took the
time to realize the setup it has set up…your life may REALLY get crazy (by
definition) or remain boring if you don’t do what it asks…
BOOM…what you
gonna do???

The person

Quick Personal Story and GYC
Commentary
I
have crossed the line.
Someone
told me I did and even wanted to file an injunction (lawsuit) to show me just
how much I crossed the line…
I
wrote and published Dear
Divorce, Thank You… for grown kids (teens and adults) of divorce to confront, cope, learn,
decide and apply.
And
no it does not bash parents or anyone else but it also does not deny the truth
for the sake of someone’s ego.
I
had to realize that my growth, our growth is more important than some temporary
hurt feelings about the truth that already exists whether or not people
verbalize it.
We
all go through our own level of tragedy or hardships but not talking about it
when YOU know YOU have
the voice and heart built to authentically discuss it… just keeps the
conversation from not being discussed…it’s existence doesn’t go away based on
whether or not we have a tolerance for it.
Long
story short…my book is for sale at various online book retailers regardless of
any present, past or future opposition against it.
I thought about not talking
about this part of the journey at all… Then I realized that you all needed to
know there was a real struggle beyond sharing my story on this topic with the
world…and I crossed the line like there was no line for the sake of my sanity
and purpose because my position that I was designed to play is WORTH IT.

A Good Old Fashioned GYC

Listen…Cross
the line, cross the line, CROSS THE LINE!! (Insert your name here…)____________
CROSS THE LINE!! If there is one thing we can regret in this life is to know
you have a purpose and not live it…and instead consider everyone and everything
that has something negative against it…allowing them to cloud
your judgment…leaving YOU/ME/WE to live a boring life of what if and I just
didn’t want to hurt so-and-so’s feelings and having those that come after you
struggle in an area where YOU were built to pave the way!
Cross That Line
because no matter the volume or depths of your purpose, YOU are worth it…the
real risk in not taking the risk is to find out that it wasn’t a risk but a
normal day in your purpose. People can call you whatever they want to call you
but YOUR PUPORSE DESIGNED YOU, which means it knows the depths of you, so only
answer to what it calls you, WORTHY and equipped…which means that when you own
it…there
WILL BE OPPOSITION but don’t worry because you are worthy and equipped!!
And if you were not…think about this…why would Slewfoot send its small-minded
goons to bother someone who has no potential to be SOMEONE.
Let Me Say This…and I’m done
Think
about WHO AND/OR WHAT needs your “crazy” idea that crosses the line, pushes the
envelope, questions the definition of limits, and says that I am the expert of
MY EXPERIENCES, listen to me.
Then
decide (after you have put in all that thought) IF you don’t want to be courageous.
…
I’m thinking that if YOU/ME/We really do
this…WE’LL BE SO STIRRED UP TO JUST TAKE THE MIC AND ROCK THIS LIFE…okay, I
need to calm down…
Anyway…
There
are too many Girl YOU Crazy faces and comments putting a hold on stuff,
attempting to talk us out of walking
worthy in our purpose, and making us think that we can’t impact the world
with the genius that lives within us.
Crossing
the line is about taking courage for what it’s for, our purpose, going for it…
even IF the idea makes others uncomfortable. Living and fulfilling the life
that calls us to be
passionate and not just want
change but step up and make change.
We
cross the line for a better, no… GREATER tomorrow. And if we just sit
and indulge in discouragement, today will only continue to replay itself…no
progress.
What others
and even ourselves may think is crossing the line, our purpose just considers
it another day of living out our design…the norm we were built to live and
enjoy!
So…I am going to ask this
question again…
Don’t shut up or shut out
the Courage attached to your Purpose.
